Watch Your Words
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Prov 18:21 (KJV)
” I’m Just dying to go!” ” You make me sick”! “It tickled me to death”! These are common everyday phrases that we have heard so long you hardly pay attention to them. But these words are corrupt communication, because you don’t want to be sick or die. God didn’t create us to say anything that we didn’t believe or desired to come to pass. We’re made in His image and His likeness and He speaks what he wants into existence and so should we. This is how faith is manifested by speaking into existence whatsoever we desire. Jesus told us that in Mark 11.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)
The Lord said we’ll have what we say. Yes, that does mean that we must watch our every word because there are bad conditions that people are bringing on themselves. I know people who say their afraid and you know what? Their afraid. I’ve heard people confess sickness and they always seem to be sick. The same is true for confessing that they are broke and the never seem to have any money, speaking words like these condemn you. The words one speak create situations and circumstances to bring those words to fruition. We’ve been trained almost since birth by the enemy’s demonic system to not regard our words, Jesus told us:
37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matt 12:37 (NKJV)
A good example of this was years ago I was given an opportunity to be employed by an institution for a term of one year. This job had so many benefits and amenities and the atmosphere was the greatest I had ever been apart of. After being out of work for sometime and then latching on to this great job, I began to say, “I’m going to keep this job, I’m going to stay here.” I Kept saying this continually and later an opportunity came up where a permanent position became available with a promotion to a higher grade. I interviewed for the job and got it. Now at that time I didn’t know God or the power of your words but my partner at work brought to my attention that I kept saying, I was not going to leave that place and I didn’t. Glory to God, by my words I was justified.
Now that we’re in the kingdom we can take the Word of God and decree what we want or need. We can go to our Heavenly Father in prayer and ask what we desire in Jesus name and He’ll give it to us. But we must feed on the Word and allow the Word to go down in our spirit and renew our minds. At the point when God’s Word dominates your thinking it will dominate your speech. Don’t complain or tell everybody how bad things are or how bad you feel. If you continue to declare, “I’m healed, by Jesus stripes or “my God supplies all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” that is what you’ll eventually possess. It’s time for the Body of Christ to speak life and then we’ll be justified! Shalom – BTTIZ
