Ezekiel 3:16-21 (NKJV)
16 Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:
18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
20 Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.”
We are presently in the “Last Days” that Jesus was speaking of in Matthew 24. Many people haven’t come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The evil influence of the “Tempter,” Satan has influenced masses of people throughout our nation and the world to change our culture to his hellish liking . Those who have submitted to the devil’s will in the media, entertainment industry, special interest groups can take credit for it. Along with the help of politicians and judges they have rammed the enemies agenda down our throats.
Unknowingly people are ignorant of the circumstances that sin brings. to the unsaved person, not receiving Jesus as their lord and Savior places them on a path to Judgment in Hell.
Ezekiel 33:10-11 (NKJV)
10 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?” ‘
11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’
This was an Old Testament warning God gave to the prophet Ezekiel to warn the children of Israel. God had a covenant only with the Hebrew people then. Now that Jesus had come, was crucified on the cross and was raised from the dead, the whole world can partake of salvation.
Now any born-again Christian can become a watchman as the Lord moves on their hearts to warn the people and draw then to the Master: Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
